North Texas
Giving Day

CASA Hope for Children is a community-based nonprofit that recruits, trains, and supports volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) to speak up for children in foster care in Parker and Palo Pinto counties. Our volunteers serve as the eyes and ears of the court, ensuring each child’s best interests are represented in legal, medical, educational, and safety matters.

In 2024, our 76 CASA volunteers served 100% of children in foster care in our area—a total of 241 children and youth. This meant driving over 112,000 miles, spending 3,100+ hours face-to-face with kids, and preparing detailed court reports that helped close 109 cases with safe, permanent homes. Whether through reunification, kinship care, or adoption, our goal is always the same: to help children thrive, not just survive.

Our Mission

CASA Hope for Children recruits, trains, and supports volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children and empower families in the child welfare system.

Our Needs

The demand on CASA volunteers is high, and we need community support to sustain this vital work.

  • Fuel costs – Volunteers drive over 10,000 miles every month to visit children and attend court hearings.

  • Wellness resources – Advocates need access to mental health support as they face the trauma of the children they serve.

  • Volunteer recruitment – We need funding to train and equip new advocates to meet the growing needs of children in foster care.

With your support, CASA volunteers can continue to stand beside children, giving them a voice and a brighter future.

Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, a time for communities to come together to build caring connections, supportive environments, and positive experiences for all children. Although this is important year-round, April gives us the opportunity to shine a light on child abuse and inspire conversations about how to prevent it. Let’s work together to create a hopeful future for children and families across the nation.

Child Abuse Prevention … It’s Everybody’s Job!

April 5th is Go Blue Day for Texas.  Thousands of Texans will wear blue, the official color of prevention, to show their support for ending child abuse.

Wear CASA Blue on that day and encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to do the same!
